Impacts of State Level Funding

Kristine will continue to be a vocal advocate in Tallahassee for fixing the voucher accountability crisis and restoring per-pupil funding equity to Seminole County schools. This is the biggest financial IMPACT to Seminole County schools — and it demands an advocate, not a bystander.

Protecting Teachers

Florida ranks 50th in the nation for average teacher pay. Kristine supports raising teacher compensation, reducing class sizes, and stopping the drain of experienced educators out of our district and state.

Expanding Career and Technical Education

Students need pathways to healthcare, engineering, emergency services, and skilled trades. Kristine has already secured millions to build those pathways and will continue fighting for more — because a diploma should open doors, not close them.

School Safety and Mental Health

Kristine is a survivor of a school shooting. She takes safety personally and has supported investments of over $1.9 million in school-based mental health services. That work continues as long as she is on the Seminole County School Board.

Transparency with Families

You deserve to know what’s happening in your schools. Kristine will continue the State of Our Schools initiative and ensure every family in Seminole County has access to accurate, timely information about what’s happening and why it’s happening.

Recess and Physical Education

Research shows that regular breaks are essential for children’s cognitive development. Allowing students time outside during the school day improves focus and learning. As a mom, Kristine understands the importance of unstructured time and supports maintaining at least 20 minutes of recess.

Partnership With Parents

Kristine believes parents are essential partners in education and will continue strengthening communication, transparency, and community engagement so families have a real voice in their schools.

Strong, Modern School Facilities

Kristine will advocate for responsible investment in school infrastructure, modern classrooms, safe campuses, and long-term planning that keeps pace with growth while protecting taxpayer dollars.
